Author Johansen's debut novel The Queen of the Tearling is published July 17, and has already been picked up by Warner Bros.

The book, the first in a trilogy, follows princess Kelsea Glynn as she attempts to reclaim her deceased mother's throne and redeem her kingdom from the effect of the evil neighbouring Red Queen. First picked up by HarperCollins in the US for a seven figure deal, the book is also being published in the UK, Spain, Denmark and Brazil.
